Torches are a type of light source in NEO Scavenger. They come in two variants, crude and quality, which currently share the same graphics. Torches can be ignited using a campfire, cigarette lighter, or another torch. All lit torches start at 100% condition, so the nature of the kindling used does not matter. If selected as an item to be used when scavenging, it will increase safety and loot gain, at the cost of concealment.
A crude torch is little more than a flaming stick so don't count on it to burn too long. They degrade 50% (or more in rain) per turn, never lasting more than 2 turns after lighting.
Quality torches burn much longer, providing light to those desperate enough to travel at night. These degrade only 25% per turn (slightly faster in rain), so they generally last four turns.
