A squirrel snare is an item obtainable through crafting. It is used as a tool, for scavenging in forests. It raises the "Loot" bar while not affecting "Safety" or "Sneak" bars in any way.
Using the squirrel snare significantly increases the chance of finding Squirrel corpses. The player can find 0-3 squirrel corpses, which can be crafted into small chunks of meat.
Using the squirrel snare while scavenging decreases it's durability by 20%. The snare will still retain 0.1% durability after five uses however, allowing it to be disassembled to recover two small strings.
