A Circuit Shack "Carter" flashlight is a portable, battery operated light source. Thanks to its light weight and compact size, as well as reasonable price, it is an ideal tool for any scavenger hoping to continue his searches for a few more hours after the sunset.
The flashlight can be turned on by right clicking it to bring up the item's menu. Whenever held in the hand and powered by charged AA batteries, a flashlight removes blind penalty status and allows for normal movement during night time, even in forests. It does, however, make user much more visible in the darkness. When off and inside a container, it does not use electricity per turn and can still be used as a light source for scavenging.
While operating, it consumes 1 charge per hour (turn) from its batteries. It can also be used as a weapon, albeit a weak one at that.
